How to Find Us, our T&Cs and What Our Guests Say...

(Hover over the map for more detail)

The village of Bignor is accessed from the A29 at Bury or the A285 Petworth to Chichester road. The road is well sign-posted - look for the brown tourist information signs to the Roman Villa. If you use SatNav and postcode to navigate, you will find that our postcode (which is the same for the whole village) takes you to the village church! However, the postcode for the Roman villa - RH20 1PH - will bring you almost next door to our house.

Booking terms and conditions
By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract between us and finalisation of your reservation is on payment of a 50% deposit. We will provisionally hold a room for you until the deposit is received.

If you are unable to take up your booking, we require a minimum notice of two weeks for your deposit to be refundable. If you give notice so late that we stand no reasonable chance of re-letting the room, you may be additionally liable for the balance of the agreed cost, depending on the circumstances. A no-show with no notification will render you liable for loss of the deposit and the balance of the agreed cost.
However, we will use every endeavour to re-let and you will usually be responsible only for your loss of deposit.  We would recommend that you take out cancellation insurance to cover any costs.

Please keep in touch concerning your arrival time.  We would appreciate an indication of arrival time when you make the booking but please let us know no later than 7pm on the day of arrival (unless otherwise arranged) if you are going to be late.

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.

Privacy policy
Any data collected during the course of this booking may be stored on our computer.  We may keep in touch from time to time but we will not share your details with any third party.

Guest Comments (from the visitor's book)

"This was the STAR stay of my South Downs Way walk - beautiful house and gardens, incredibly comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast, and to top it all, having arrived with huge blisters on the bottoms of my feet, was presented with TCP and plasters when I arrived, and with two rolls of bandages with my breakfast "courtesy of the Territorials" (apparently they bandage feet before a route march. TOP TIP!) Angie saved my feet, my walk, my sanity. Couldn't recommend this place and its perfect hostess more highly." (Visitor comment from the visitor's book which the ROSE assessors found particularly praiseworthy)

"Lovely welcome, beautiful room" J. (Netherlands)
